New England Inns
Enjoy the warm welcome, the individual service and comfortable surroundings of a New England Inn as part of your self-drive tour. Warm yourself in front of a welcoming log fire on a chilly autumn evening, chat with your hosts over afternoon tea, savour the atmosphere of a quiet inn set amidst the beautiful New England countryside or on the rocky shores of the Atlantic coast. Truly, there is no better way to capture the essence of this lovely region than by staying in one of its many inns; the gems of new England.
All Inns are unique. No two are alike, except in their high standard of individual service. Their size varies from two or three rooms to larger than fifty room properties. Some inns provide full meal service, others prefer to concentrate on accommodation and breakfast, but will also advise guests on the best local restaurants, and even make dinner reservations for them.
There are simply too many inns to present in the space available, but hopefully this small varied selection highlights the different types of Inn- from the small and intimate – to the larger, resort property. Just America will be pleased to discuss your requirements and provide prices for Inns throughout the New England area.

The Manor On Golden Pond, Holderness. It was the sheer romantic beauty of its mountain and lake side setting that inspired the building of The Manor On Golden Pond. And while the view still inspires, so does the hotel’s cuisine and leisure facilities. The romantic story behind this resort began in 1903, when a wealthy Englishman fell in love with the mountain and lake side setting and build the Manor for his bride. In many senses, the idyll continues, inspiring the Oscar-winning Hepburn and Fonda film ‘On Golden Pond’. Enjoy tea and dreamy end-of-day reveries in the library or alternatively retreat to the excellent restaurant. The cuisine is the finest in the region, complemented by a celebrated cellar. However, despite the excellent spa, golf, skiing, lawn games and water sports, perhaps the best way to enjoy The Manor On Golden Pond is fireside after dinner, with a large Port and entertaining company.
