Chugach Mountains & Knik Glacier (by floatplane) AAT13. Enjoy a flightseeing tour of the majestic Chuach State Park.  On this floatplane flight you will travel over the expansive Knik Glacier rimmed with spectacular hanging glaciers.  Sense the motion of the ice and see how it shaped the land, then fly over Colony Glacier to Lake George, where it spills into the winding Knik Glacier Gorge.  Look for moose, Dall sheep, and other wildlife as you fly over pristine lakes and past snow capped mountains. Kenai Fjords National Park AAT15.  Travel from Anchorage to Seward and depart on a 6-hour boat cruise to the Kenai Fjords National Park, famous for its rich marine wildlife, beautiful fjord, coastal landscapes and glaciers.  Choice of mini-coach or train transfer from Anchorage (or coach one-way/train the other – please specify at the time of booking).  Tour includes: scheduled roundtrip transfers, fjords cruise with lunch, port fee and taxes.  Duration: approx. 14 – 15 hours.  Operates daily between 17 May and 16 September.  Prices from £179.00 per adult / £95.00 per child (2-11 yrs) roundtrip by coach from Anchorage.   £182.00 per adult / £92.00 per child (2-11 yrs) roundtrip by train from Anchorage (standard seating).

Glacier Discovery Train with Float Trip (AAT136a) Ride the rail to Spencer Glacier in the remote Chugach Mountains.  Then float among the icebergs at Spencer Lake and down the Placer River.  Professional guides lead the trip and raingear, rubber boots and a snack-lunch will be provided.  You will be transfered back to Anchorage by scheduled motorcoach.  Duration: approx.9 hours.  Operates daily between 05 Jun and 14 Sep.  Prices £139.00 per adult / £102.00 per child (2-11 years).

Denali

Full-day Denali Road Tour (AAT32). This comprehensive bus tour travels to the end of the 92-mile park road to the remote Kantishna region.  Your naturalist driver/guide will help you search for bears, caribou, Dall sheep, and moose while explaining the geologic history of the park.  Upon arrival in Kantishna, enjoy a 2-hour stop for lunch at a lodge and optional activities such as gold-panning or hiking.  The return trip provides a different perspective of the park.  Lunch included.  Departs from designated hotels at the park entrance area. Duration: 12-13 hours.  Operates daily between 04 June and 12 September.  Price £120.00 per person.

Denali National Park Tundra Wilderness Tour (AAT34).  This narrated bus tour takes you through the pristine wilderness of Denali.  The experienced driver/naturalist will provide an overview of the land and its wildlife as you travel approximately 53 miles on the park road.  Along the way, stops will be made at scenic overlooks and for viewing wildlife, such as bears, caribou and moose.  The tour includes a boxed picnic meal and bottled water.  Duration: approx. 6 – 8 hours (depending on road conditions).  Operates daily between 15 May and 17 September.  Prices £99.00 per adult / £55.00 per child (14 and under).

McKinley Run Scenic Float (AAT35) You may see moose, sheep, caribou or bears as you raft downstream 11 miles.  The guide will handle the oars so you can relax and enjoy the views.  This scenic portion of the Nenana River provides a rafting trip that is mild yet at times thrilling.  Rapids are class 1 and 2, with one class 3 rapid.  A great trip for families!  Dry suites are included.  Duration: 3 hours inc. transfers & outfitting time.  Operates daily between 20 May and 23 August.  Prices £57.00 per adult / £47.00 per child (5-11 yrs).

Canyon Run Whitewater Rafting (AAT36) Choose to paddle as a team or let the guide handle the oars on this exciting rafting trip.  Enjoy every minute of your journey as you head for Healy, 11 miles downriver.  Get into real white-water rafting as you hang on through thrilling rapids such as “Cable Car”, “Coffee Grinder”, and “Ice Worm”!  Rapids are class 3 with one class 4.  Dry suits are included.  Duration 3 hours inc. transfers and outfitting time. Operates daily between 20 May and 23 August.   Prices £59 per person (age 12 and over).

Fairbanks

Sternwheeler Riverboat Tour (AAT 41) Climb aboard the Riverboat Discovery III for an unforgettable cruise into the history of interior Alaska.  Travel the Chena and Tanana Rivers on the only authentic sternwheeler riverboat operating in Alaska.  This narrated tour provides background on the area’s natural history and the Athabascan Native culture.  You will see a floatplane take off, meet sled dogs, witness the “wedding of the rivers” and gain insight into the ancient Athabascan Indian culture.  Alaskan Native guides who have worked and lived in Alaska will take you on a personalised tour of the Chena Indian Village.  Meals and transfers not included.  Departs 2pm.  Operates daily 15 May-15 September.  Prices £43.00 per adult / £29.00 per child (0-12 yrs).

Arctic Circle Native Fly/Drive Adventure (AAT42)  Take a small group tour into the Alaskan arctic by air and land.  Depart from Fairbanks in a small plane and land across the Arctic Circle where you will receive an official Arctic Circle certificate.  Enjoy a walk on the arctic tundra, which will give you a sense of the vast scale of Alaska’s arctic regions.  Return to Fairbanks with a van tour on the rugged Dalton Highway.  Along the way, marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland’s most famous waterway, the Yukon River, and learn of its storied past.  View the remarkable Trans-Alaska Pipeline and visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post, situated in the rural community of Joy.  Typically the morning tour begins with land tour and the afternoon tour begins with the flight.  Tour departs from the East Ramp of Fairbanks Airport.   Duration approx.12-13 hours.  Operates daily between 21 May and 17 September.  Morning departures: Price £242.00 per person.

Arctic Circle Air Adventure (AAT44)  Begin this tour with a small plane flight from Fairbanks and land across the Arctic Circle in a ceremonious fashion, where you will receive an official Arctic Circle certificate.  A 2.5 hour ground tour of a rural community is included.  Enjoy a walk on the treeless arctic tundra, which will give you a sense of the vast scale of Alaska’s arctic regions.  Your return flight provides another opportunity to see the Yukon River, the Brooks Range, Gates of the Arctic National Pakr, and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline from the air.  Duration: approx. 5 hours.  Operates daily between 01 June and 31 August.  Prices from £242.00 per person (07.00 hrs departure) or £293.00 per person (13.00 departure).

Juneau

Glacier Bay National Park (AAT50). Depart on and early morning small plane flight from Juneau airport to Gustavus.  On arrival, transfer is provided to Glacier Bay Lodge.  At approx. 07.30, depart from Bartlett Cove aboard a high-speed catamaran and take an 8-hour cruise in this icy wonderland.  Watch for whales, sea otters, puffins, seals and other wildlife. A national park ranger is onboard to provide narration on the wildlife and history of the park.  Transfer to the Gustavus airport for the flight to Juneau, arriving at approx. 18.00.  Lunch is included.  Duration: approx.12 hours. Operates daily between 01 June and 31 August.  Prices £345.00 per adult / £265.00 per child (2-11 years).

Glacier Landing with Dog Sledding (Helicopter) AAT48.  Combine the excitement of helicopter flightseeing with dog sledding on the Mendenhall Glacier!  Enjoy spectacular scenery of lush rainforest, deep blue crevasses  and glacier carved peaks as you fly to the dogsled camp on the glacier.  Your time at the dog camp will include instructions on dog sledding, stories about the famous Iditarod race, as well as 20-25 minutes of dog sledding. Total duration approx. 2 – 3 hours. Operates daily  11 May-05 Sep. Price £299.00 per person (please note there will be a 50% surcharge for passengers weighing 250lbs or more).

Tracy Arm Fjords Glacier Cruise (AAT51).  Tracy Arm is one of Alaska’s best kept secrets and rivals more famous attractions.  Hundreds of seals and pups laze on the icebergs at the face of Sawyer Glacier.  Watch for chunks of ice to calve off the face of the glacier with a splash!  Waterfalls stream down sheer cliffs as you learn about how the glaciers carved the stunning scenery.   Duration: approx.10 hours.  Operates daily between 11 May and 20 September.  Prices £105.00 per adult / £65 per child (5 – 17 years).

Seward

Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise (AAT21a). Kenai Fjords National Park consists of miles of beautiful fjords and coastal landscape and is home to a variety of marine animals such as orca (killer) and humpback whales, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, puffins etc.  This tour includes 110-mile round-trip cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park and Maritime Wildlife Refuge.  Tour includes deli-stye lunch.  Duration 6-7 hours.  Operates daily: 29 May -17 August.  Prices £100.00 per adult / £52.00 per child (2-11 years).

Resurrection Bay Cruise (AAT 21d).  On this 55-mile round-trip tour, you will travel through the pristine waters of Resurrection Bay.  Tour includes an all-you-can-eat salmon / prime rib buffet.  Duration: approx. 5 hours.  Operates daily: 07 May-25 September.  Prices £72.00 per adult / £37.00 per child (2-11 years).

Skagway

White Pass Summit Excursion (AAT148). 40-mile roundtrip ride on the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad through rugged mountains, over high tressles and climbing 2865 feet to the White Pass Summit.
