Day 1. Victoria. Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport, you will be met and shown to your coach. We travel to the coast and board the ferry for a scenic cruise through the Georgia Strait. We arrive on Vancouver Island and travel to Victoria, British Columbia’s capital. Famous for its distinct British feel, Victoria is a picturesque city of beautiful gardens and historic homes. With its great weather and laid back lifestyle, it has been twice voted the Best City in the Americas. Tonight, join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception. Two Night Stay: Victoria, Delta Ocean Pointe Resort & Spa.
Day 2. Vancouver Island. Butchart Gardens. Freedom of Choice Touring. Today choose your touring in Victoria. We also visit the world renowned Butchart Gardens with time to explore the floral displays. Enjoy seeing the work of Jennie Butchart, whose passion has delighted visitors for over 100 years. BD
Day 3. Georgia Strait, Whistler. This morning we board the ferry and return to the mainland. Our journey takes us into the Coast Mountain Range for our overnight stay in the ski resort of Whistler, set in a spectacular location and considered an adventure playground throughout the year. Whistler in the evening is a lively place and its pedestrian-only village is alive with pubs and bars, music and shopping. Stay: Whistler, Westin Resort & Spa. BD
Day 4. Cariboo Region, Sun Peaks. Follow the tracks of the early gold rush pioneers as we travel through the rugged Cariboo region. This afternoon we arrive in the village of Sun Peaks. Stay: Sun Peaks, Delta Resort. BD
Day 5. Mt Robson, Jasper National Park, Dine Around Dinner. Today our journey follows the famous Yellowhead Highway. Pass Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive this afternoon in beautiful Jasper National Park. Stay: Jasper, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. BD
Day 6. Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise, Dine Around Dinner. Today’s journey takes us along the Icefields Parkway. We stop at the giant Columbia Icefield for a ride in a specially designed Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier. Later, arrive at Lake Louise and dine at one of the Chateau’s restaurants. Stay: Lake Louise, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. BD
Day 7. Moraine Lake, Banff, Dine Around Dinner. After breakfast, we join our Mountain Heritage Guide for a guided nature walk of Lake Louise. Visit Moraine Lake and continue to Banff. Tonight choose where you dine with our Dine Around Dinner. Two Night Stay: Banff, Fairmont Banff Springs. BD
Day 8. Banff Sights, Freedom of Choice Touring. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff and the surrounding area. Later, join your selected touring activity. B
Day 9. Rocky Mountaineer Rail, Spiral Tunnels. Board the Rocky Mountaineer Train. We have GoldLeaf seating so relax and enjoy breakfast as you travel this famous railroad. Cross the Continental Divide and through the engineering marvel of the Spiral Tunnels. This evening, enjoy an optional dinner show in Kamloops, at additional expense. Stay: Kamloops, hotel assigned by Rocky Mountaineer Vacations. Kamloops has limited accommodation so you will be staying in two or three-star hotels. BLD
Day 10. Kamloops, Vancouver. Rejoining the Rocky Mountaineer, we continue our journey towards the Pacific Ocean. See the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate before entering Fraser Canyon. Late afternoon, arrive in Vancouver. Two Night Stay: Vancouver, Fairmont Waterfront. BL
Day 11. Vancouver Sights. Today, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver. The tour includes the Waterfront, the cobblestone streets of historic Gastown, as well as Stanley Park, named one of the top 10 greatest public spaces in the world. Perhaps head to Chinatown for exotic delicacies, or Robson Street, the best place to sit out and watch the locals stroll by. B
Day 12. Holland America Line Cruise. Today, transfer to Seattle and board the ms Amsterdam. Settle into your verandah stateroom as we head out on your 7 night luxury Alaskan cruise. BD
Day 13. At Sea. Enjoy a full day at sea and make time today to explore your cruise ship and its amenities; stroll the teak decks that circle the ship; relax in the elegant public areas; work out in the ship’s fitness centre or be pampered in the spa; or simply enjoy the views. BLD
Day 14. Stephens Passage, Juneau. Sail through Stephens Passage, home to humpback whales and orca. Arrive at Juneau, the capital of Alaska and explore this fascinating town. BLD
Day 15. Tracy Arm, Sawyer Glacier. At the end of Tracy Arm fjord sits Sawyer Glacier. Watch as the glaciers calve and break apart, dropping huge chunks of ice, some the size of cars, into the water. Depending on prevailing conditions, the cruise may go to Glacier Bay National Park instead. BLD
Day 16. Sitka. Arrive in the Alaskan town of Sitka, a charming settlement by the sea rich in Russian and native Tlingit culture. BLD
Day 17. Ketchikan. As the salmon capital of the world, Ketchikan is the place to indulge in all things to do with salmon. BLD
Day 18. Victoria. Enjoy a day at sea and spend an evening in Victoria. BLD
Day 19. Seattle. Your cruise ends on arrival in Seattle. After breakfast disembark and take a city sights tour of Seattle. This evening enjoy a FREE night’s accommodation in Seattle and have time at leisure to further explore this exciting city. Stay: Seattle, Westin Seattle. B
Day 20. Seattle. We transfer to Seattle Airport this morning for your flight home.
