Day 1. Spectacular Vancouver. Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for an informal and friendly Welcome Reception. Two Night Stay: Vancouver, Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.
Day 2. Vancouver Sights. Today, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver. The tour includes the Waterfront, the cobblestone streets of historic Gastown, as well as Stanley Park, named one of the top 10 greatest public spaces in the world. The remainder of the day is yours to explore. B
Day 3. Rocky Mountaineer Rail. Early today board the Rocky Mountaineer Train. We have GoldLeaf seating, so sit back and relax in true comfort as you travel this famous railroad. Pass through the fertile fields of the Fraser Valley and view the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before entering Fraser Canyon. See the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate and follow the Thompson River to historic Kamloops, gateway to the interior of British Columbia. Perhaps enjoy a dinner show tonight at additional cost. Stay: Kamloops, hotel assigned by Rocky Mountaineer Vacations. Kamloops has limited accommodation so you will be staying in two or three-star hotels. BLD
Day 4. Spiral Tunnels, Banff. Rejoining the Rocky Mountaineer, we journey through vast ranchlands along the South Thompson River to S huswap Lake. The Kicking Horse River leads us to Kicking Horse Pass, the engineering marvel of the Spiral Tunnels and over the Continental Divide to Banff National Park. Arrive in the late afternoon in Banff, Alberta. Two Night Stay: Banff, Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. BL
Day 5. Banff Sights, Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine Around Dinner. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff and the surrounding area. Later, join your selected touring activity, there’s quite a range to choose from! Whether it be a wildlife safari to spot the famous Canadian wildlife, an interpretive nature hike with a knowledgeable guide, a round of golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, or a helicopter flight over the region, a float trip down the Bow River that runs through Banff, a gondola ride to the stop of Sulphur Mountain. Day 6. Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Dine Around Dinner. On our short journey to Lake Louise we visit tranquil Moraine Lake. This afternoon we arrive at Lake Louise, a beautiful blue-green lake set against the stark backdrop of Victoria Glacier and known as the Jewel of the Rockies. Join Mountain Heritage Guides for an informative and entertaining lakeshore stroll. Listen as they describe the natural history and stories of the area and point out photographic opportunities. Tonight choose which one of the Chateau’s four restaurants to dine in.

Day 7. Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Jasper, Dine Around Dinner. Today’s journey takes us along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world’s great scenic drives, travelling along a chain of massive icefields straddling the Continental Divide. We stop at the giant Columbia Icefield for a ride in a specially designed Ice E xplorer onto the Athabasca Glacier. When the Ice Explorer stops, take the opportunity to get out on to the glacier and stand on ice that once fell as snow some 400 years ago. Arrive this afternoon in Jasper National Park, a fairytale mountain retreat boasting modern amenities and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Tonight you can choose exactly what you feel like eating with our Dine Around Dinner at one of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge’s four outstanding restaurants.Stay: Jasper, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. BD
Day 8. Mt Robson, Sun Peaks. Re-entering the province of British Columbia, our journey follows the famous Yellowhead Highway. Pass Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. In the afternoon we arrive in the village of Sun Peaks, tucked in among the rolling mountains of British Columbia’s interior. Stay: Sun Peaks, Delta Resort. BD
Day 9. Whistler. Follow the tracks of the early gold rush pioneers as we travel through the rugged Cariboo region with its diverse natural environment and rich history. Our journey takes us into the Coast Mountain Range to the ski resort of Whistler, set in a spectacular location. Whistler in the evening is a lively place and its pedestrian-only village is alive with pubs and bars, music and shopping. Stay: Whistler, Westin Resort & Spa. BD
Day 10. Georgia Strait, Vancouver Island. We return to the coast and board our ferry for a scenic cruise through the Georgia Strait. Arrive on Vancouver Island and continue to Victoria. Tonight, enjoy an evening at leisure. Two Night Stay: Victoria, Delta Ocean Pointe Resort & Spa. B
Day 11. Victoria, Butchart Gardens, Freedom of Choice Touring. Today choose your touring in Victoria. There’s an opportunity to watch whales breaching and interacting off Vancouver Island. Or you can take a seaplane flight to see the island and coastline from the air. Perhaps take an historic guided walking tour of the town or choose a guided tour of the wonderful houses and manors around the town. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride around Victoria, perhaps take a traditional High Tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel or try your hand at salmon fishing. Later we then visit the world renowned Butchart Gardens with time to explore the floral displays. Enjoy seeing the work of Jennie Butchart, whose passion has delighted visitors for over 100 years. BD
Day 12. Home. This morning, take the ferry back to Vancouver and transfer to the airport for your flight home. B
