All Inclusive Prices: All accommodations, entertainment, special dinners, land and cruise transportation, sightseeing, luggage handling and services of the Tauck Tour Director are included in the tour price as specified therein.
Hotels - All hotel accommodations are included. Two-bedded rooms with private bath are reserved in most hotels. Triples are a two-bedded room plus a rollaway bed and are not recommended for comfort.
Meals - Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner. Whenever possible, meals are choice of menu with the exception of an occasional group function or buffet necessary to provide adequate service at times of peak demand.
Transportation - All motorcoach, cruise ship, rail, excursion boats and flights as specified within the tour are included.
Gratuities included - All necessary gratuities for luggage handling, bellmen, doormen, dining room servers, housekeepers, and local guides are included. On tours which include travel by train or cruise ship, all necessary staff gratuities are included. Tauck Director's gratuities are included on Alaska's Inside Passage.
Tauck Tour Director - Each tour is conducted by a Tour Director who remains with the group throughout the duration of the tour. Your personal Tour Director is a professional, fully-trained employee of Tauck World Discovery. Tours typically number 30-42 people.
Not included: Airfare to/from departure/return point. Just America will be pleased to advise the best fares - including Business Class fares.
Hotel Rooms Before or After Tours - As a service Tauck World Discovery will make reservations before or after your tour at most first and last night hotels upon request. Reservations are subject to availability and must be booked through Tauck; charges will be added to your tour cost. Note: Airport transfers are not included for pre and post tour nights. Please request pre and/or post tour accommodations at the time of booking your tour.
Tour Director and Driver Gratuities - The customary gratuities to the Tauck Tour Director and the driver are not included and should be exteneded on a voluntary, individual basis.
Personal Expenses - Such as phone calls, room service, alcoholic beverages, mineral waters, soft drinks, laundry, airline excess baggage charges, minibar charges and other optional incidental extras are not included and may be significant.
Baggage Responsibility - Although every effort is made to handle guest's luggage carefully, Tauck cannot be held responsible, assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage and personal effects due to breakage, theft, or fair wear and tear through hotel, airline or group carrier handling. It is important, for your own protection, that you have adequate insurance to cover these eventualities. We recommend that you keep prescription medication and valuables in your hand luggage with you on the coach.
Luggage Handling & Restrictions - Luggage handling is included in the tour cost; however, due to space limitations aboard motor coaches and airlines on certain flights, only one average size piece of luggage per person, weighing up to 44lbs is allowed. Luggage exceeding these restrictions is at risk of being left behind, or, if permitted on board, may be subject to additional excess luggage charges. Additionally, guests are limited to one small carry-on bag per person, which should not exceed 17 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 10 inches in height, due to space restrictions in overhead storage bins aboard motor coaches; larger carry-ons will be stowed in the luggage compartment under the coach. Regulations within most airports require that travellers handle their own luggage through customs. Luggage regulations are subject to change.
Before you go: Immigration requirements - It is the responsibility of the passengers to ensure that they have a valid passport and comply with the immigration requirements of each country you are visiting as part of your holiday. Just America will be pleased to advise passengers on passport and visa requirements for the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Tour Departure Times - Are provided at the time of booking and are subject to change due to air schedule changes. Allow sufficient time to clear immigration and customs at airports if joining a tour at the airport.
Membership and Health - Membership will be granted to all persons. Tauck reserves the right to terminate the tour of any persons who are abusive of others or whose behaviour disrupts the tour. Any person who needs assistance with walking, dining or personal needs must have a companion to assist them. Vaccinations are currently not required. Please consult your physician for pre-departure health advice. Itinerary Changes & Flexibility - Tauck World Discovery pledges to make every effort to operate all tours as advertised. Travellers should be flexible as situations may arise, voluntary or involuntary, that necessitate schedule changes or exceptions to the itinerary. On these occasions, Tauck reserves the right to alter or curtail the itinerary and substitute hotels, and/or conveyances as deemed ncessary. Any savings realised by these changes will be refunded to passengers. Any resultant added expense will be borne by Tauck.

Departure Changes - In the unlikely event unforseen circumstances necessitate the cancellation of a tour departure, we will ensure a smooth transition to a different date. Tauck will cover airline penalties or other costs associated with the change in travel arrangements.
If you have to cancel - Cancellation and Transfer Fees - Regardless of reason, cancellation and transfers result in costly charges from the travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by cancelling confirmed bookiings. Therefore, the following fees will apply to all tour elements, pre & post tour hotels etc., booked through Tauck. These fees apply whether or not a person transfers to another tour departure. Time of cancellation will be when written notice is received at the Tauck headquarters office. Reservations made by passengers through Just America must be cancelled through Just America.

Please note that if you have booked flights or other non-Tauck elements the Just America booking conditions and cancellation charges will apply to those elements.
Tour Interruption Fees - Tauck will refund the unused land portion if it exceeds 24 consecutive hours. Such refunds are based upon the number of overnights missed less a fee of £21 per person per day for unused transportation and other fixed expenses.
Partial Room Cancellation - A person cancelling or leaving a tour while a room mate remains constitutes a cancellation of one type of accommodation and rebooking of another (triple to twin, or twin to single). The price charged to the remaining person is the new, higher price for the new accommodation.
Cancellation Fee Waiver - Should you have to cancel or interrupt your tour en route, a non-refundable Cancellation Fee Waiver reduces the cancellation and interruption fees outlined above, provided we are notified of cancellation before your tour departs.

This waiver is not insurance, it does not cover airline penalties, baggage damage or personal injury. The advantage of this waiver is that you may cancel regardless of reason. Please note: Tauck's Cancellation Fee Waiver only covers elements of the holiday booked through Tauck, it does not cover elements such as transatlantic flights booked through Just America. The Cancellation Fee Waiver must be requested at the time of booking and the fee must be included with the initial payment. The cost of the Waiver is not refundable under any circumstances.
How to make a reservation - Phone Just America on 01730 266588. A deposit will be required to secure your reservation (or full payment if you are making a reservation within 45 days of departure). The deposit required is:

£275 per person - train tours
£475 per person - cruise tours
In addition we recommend that you add Cancellation Fee Waiver (see above).
Final Payment - Is required by Just America 8 weeks prior to departure in order to ensure that payment is transmitted to Tauck prior to their deadline of 60 days prior to departure Any bookings not pre-paid by 8 weeks prior to departure may be subject to cancellation without notice and cancellation charges will apply. Final Documents - Are usually sent by first-class post approx. 14 days prior to departure. This will include transatlantic airline documents and any elements booked through Just America.
Special Requests - Tauck will be happy to advise hotels of special requests provided such requests are received at the time of booking. Requests cannot be guaranteed.
Single Rooms - Since hotel rates are per room, the tour price for rooms occupied by one person is higher than those where two or more persons share the cost of a room. |
