Day 1. Arrive Vancouver.  Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your downtown hotel. Your day is at leisure to relax and explore this vibrant city. This evening join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception. Stay: Vancouver, Empire Landmark Hotel.

Day 2. Vancouver Sightseeing, Butchart Gardens, Victoria.  This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including the Waterfront, historic Gastown and Stanley Park. Later this morning join your ferry cruise through the picturesque Georgia Strait and Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island. On arrival, visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens. From here, a short drive takes you to Victoria, the charming capital city of British Columbia, famous for its distinct British feel. Stay: Victoria, Royal Scot Suite Hotel (2 nights). B,D

Day 3. Victoria at Leisure. Enjoy a full day at leisure in Victoria. Perhaps visit to the ivy-clad Empress Hotel where you can indulge in their famous English High Tea. Dinner is at leisure this evening. B

Day 4. Victoria, Sun Peaks. Relax on a leisurely ferry ride as you return to the mainland this morning and head east into the heart of British Columbia. Travel through the broad Fraser Valley and enjoy a drive through the Cascade Mountain Range. Late afternoon, arrive in the resort village of Sun Peaks, tucked into the rolling mountains of British Columbia’s interior. Stay: Sun Peaks, Hearthstone Lodge. B,D

Day 5. Mt Robson, Jasper. Today your journey follows the famous Yellowhead Highway. Pass Mt Robson, which at 3,954 metres, is the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. This afternoon, cross into the province of Alberta and arrive in Jasper National Park; gateway to the Rockies. Stay: Jasper, Jasper Inn. B,D

Day 6. Columbia Icefield, Lake Louise.  Today, we visit the giant Columbia Icefield for an unforgettable ride in a specially designed Ice Explorer onto the 300 metre-thick Athabasca Glacier. Continue through to Lake Louise, the jewel of the Canadian Rockies. Stay: Lake Louise, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.B,D

Day 7. Moraine Lake, Banff.  Moraine Lake is a glacially-fed lake in Banff National Park, approximately 15 kilometres outside Lake Louise. This morning visit the lake (weather permitting), before driving a short distance to Banff. Stay: Banff, Banff International Hotel (2 nights). B,D

Day 8. Banff Sightseeing.  Today take an included ride on the Banff Gondola on the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy an incredible view of the Canadian Rockies. The rest of the day is yours at leisure, so perhaps take time to visit the famous Banff Springs Hotel, a designated historic site and a landmark of the Rockies (own expense). B

Day 9. Banff, Kamloops. Relax in comfort in the Rocky Mountaineer Train’s RedLeaf coach, as you cross the Continental Divide and journey to Kamloops. Tonight you have the option of experiencing the entertaining Two River Junction Dinner and Musical Revue or the Canadian Lumberjack Show and dinner (own expense). Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer Vacations. CB,L.

Day 10. Kamloops, Rocky Mountaineer, Vancouver.  Rejoining the Rocky Mountaineer, continue your westward journey towards the Pacific Ocean. View the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains, overlooking vibrant Vancouver, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon. Stay: Vancouver, Empire Landmark Hotel (2 nights). CB,L,D

Day 11. Vancouver at leisure. Today, take the opportunity to explore wonderful Vancouver. B

Day 12. Holland America Line Cruise. Board your Holland America Line cruise ship and settle into your stateroom. B,D

Day 13. Inside Passage. Enjoy a day at sea as your ship wends its way past rocky headlands, over the still blue waters of the Inside Passage. Explore your cruise ship. B,L,D

Day 14. Ketchikan. Visit Ketchikan, the salmon capital of the world. Enjoy time at leisure, exploring the town’s unique sights and attractions.(B,L,D)

Day 15. Juneau. Today, visit Juneau, Alaska’s capital. Located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel and with the massive Mendenhall Glacier and Juneau Icefields at its back door, Juneau is strikingly beautiful. B,L,D

Day 16. Skagway. At the northernmost point of the Inside Passage, Skagway’s history as a frontier town and gateway for the gold rush is still evident today. B,L,D

Day 17. Glacier Bay. View the breathtaking sight of Glacier Bay National Park with its rivers of ice and skyscraping peaks. B,L,D

Day 18. College Fjord. Today, observe the many glaciers and occasional wildlife of beautiful College Fjord. B,L,D

Day 19. Arrive in Seward. Disembark your ship and transfer from Seward pier to Anchorage airport (Anchorage to Fairbanks flight not included in land only price). Hotel courtesy transportation upon arrival in Fairbanks. Stay: Fairbanks (3 nights). B

Day 20. Fairbanks at leisure. Today, explore Fairbanks, the Heart of the Interior. B

Day 21. Fairbanks Sightseeing. Today, learn how the gold rush affected Alaska’s interior on a sightseeing tour with a local Alaskan tour director to the University of Alaska, Fairbanks Museum. Tonight, partake in an optional activity – dine at an authentic salmon bake or visit Trail Breaker Kennels, a working dog kennel (own expense). B

Day 22. Denali National Park.  Ride the motorcoach south to Denali National Park. Enjoy a range of activities including mild or wild river rafting, flight-seeing Mt McKinley, a jet-boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to the award-winning dog kennels of 2006 Iditarod champion, Jeff King (own expense).  Stay: Denali (2 nights). B

Day 23. Tundra Wilderness Tour.  Today travel deep into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour and search the pristine wilderness for bear, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated allowing for insight into the flora and fauna of this spectacular region. (Early May & September tours may be shortened due to road conditions.) B, SBM

Day 24. Alaska Railroad to Anchorage.  Enjoy a morning at leisure for your own exploration. This afternoon board the famous Alaska Railroad for the day trip to Anchorage. Stay: Anchorage (2 nights). B

Day 25. Alaska Native Heritage Center. Enjoy a brief tour of Anchorage, with a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Centre. Tonight, feast on an Alaskan style meal at an included dinner. B,D.

Day 26. Anchorage.  Your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport.
