Canyon De Chelly, northeast Arizona 
Discover the beauty and fascinating history of this wonderful canyon by taking either a half-day, or full day excursion with a native American Navajo guide. See the cliff-dwellings, rock art, flora and fauna of this spectaular historic site.
Thunderbird Lodge is the only authorized provider of group tours in Canyon de Chelly National Monument. Experienced Navajo guides explain the significance of man-made structures and symbols while pointing out natural points of interest. Heavy-duty six-wheel drive touring vehicles are equipped with padded seats to provide a comfortable and memorable experience. Guests typically enjoy an open-air ride, but during inclement weather the vehicles can be covered with clear caps engineered by the lodge’s maintenance staff. The tours stop frequently for photographs and to visit ruins, Navajo farms and rock art.
Half-day tours departing at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. or 2 p.m., depending on the season, take visitors into the lower halves of both Canyon de Chelly and Canyon del Muerto and last 3½ hours. Full day tours begin in the spring and last until late fall. They depart at 9 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. The full-day tours take visitors on a 60-mile round trip through Canyon del Muerto to Mummy Cave and Canyon de Chelly to Spider Rock.

Named after the first European known to visit the Green and Colorado rivers and what are now Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, our powerful jet boat will allow you to explore the river canyons between Moab and Canyonlands National Park. Soaring canyon walls, towering cliffs of a thousand hues, and always, the quiet majesty of the great river provide the background.
Herons and egrets stalk the beaches and sandbars, ravens and eagles soar overhead. Deer, beaver, porcupines, and even bobcat and bighorn sheep may be seen along the river banks. Canyonlands By Jeep

CANYONLANDS - A.M./P.M. HALF DAY - A city street becomes a country lane, then a gravel road, and finally a four-wheel drive route through Canyonlands and into the desert. To the east, thousand foot cliffs reach for the sky; to the west, the Colorado carves a canyon nearly as deep. Three hundred million years of Earth's history is written in the multicoloured, infinitely varied rock layers, and your guide can interpret the events they record! For those who want just a taste of four-wheel drive travel into this rugged land, this half-day expedition is the perfect answer. ARCHES NATIONAL PARK -
HALF DAY. - A wonderful 4 x 4 half-day excursion into the incredible scenery of Arches National Park. Suitable for most people with average fitness levels. In a half-day you can see some of the arroyos of Arches that few visitors get to see. The vehicles are air-conditioned and the ride is bumpy but not treacherous, and ideal of visitors with a limited amount of time who want to see Arches and sample a 4 x 4 tour. Monument Valley - southern Utah
Goulding's Monument Valley Tours
There are few locations that represent the great American Southwest as the dramatic landscape of Monument Valley. Made famous by the movie director John Ford, and immortalised in many John Wayne western movies, no visit to the region is complete without a tour of Monument Valley. Visitors should bear in mind that most of the valley is accessed by unpaved roads and that rental cars are not permitted on such roads. Therefore the only way to tour the valley is by an escorted tour with a native American guide. Gouldings Tours are the main operator of Monument Valley tours and operate from Gouldings Lodge.
