Wildlife Adventure Cruise. Experience the thrill of travelling through the breathtaking Discovery Islands on a hurricane Zodiac and see local wildlife thriving in their natural habitat.  The abundant salmon in the waters attract an assortment of wildlife including black bears, Steller sea lions, Minke Whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, feeding and soaring eagles and more.  Stops to view wildlife will be made and the narrator will help you learn about the tides and the bird sanctuary.  Enjoy the majesty of Desolation Sound from the comfort of a Zodiac and get up close and personal with local wildlife.

Telegraph Cove

Johnstone Strait Whalewatching.  Cruise the protected waters of Johnstone Strait on the northeast corner of Vancouver Island.  This area is acknowledged as the world's most accessible and predictable orca viewing ground (best viewing mid-July to mid-August).  In addition to orcas, there is a wide variety of other marine and birdlife in this area including Pacific white-sided dolphins, harour porpoises, harbour seals, sea lions, minke, grey and humpback whales.  Approx. 3.5 hours. Operates daily between 28 May-08 Oct.  Prices £69 per adult / £63 per child (1 - 12 years).

Tofino

Tofino: Bearwatching in Tofino & Ucluelet.  Encounter one of the most fearsome and fascinating animals that roam the West Coast of Vancouver Island, the black bear.  At low tide, board the Explorathor, a 40-passenger vessel (Zodiac from Uclelet), and speed along the lush coastline to the bear's feeding grounds.  When the tide goes out, the bears emerge from the forests and forage along the shores in search of rock crabs.  These times offer excellent opportunities to view the inquisitive black bear in their natural habitat,   Tours operate daily April - October.  Duration: approx. 2.5 hours.  Prices £59 per adult / £55 per youth (13-18 years) £45 per child (4-12 years).  Please note: bear sightings are not guaranteed.

Wildlife viewingTofino: Whale-watching.  Enjoy a 2.5 to 3 hour whale-watching tour from Tofino.  Travel through both protected and open coast marine water in a Zodiac, or covered boat to view gray whales.  During your tour you will also enjoy interpretive stops featuring coastal wildlife and rain forest.  Zodiac tours are not recommended for pregnant women, persons with back or neck problems, persons in frail health, of families with children 6 years and under.  Daily departures between 01 March-31 October. 09.00, 12.00 and 15.00.
