r the aquarium, enjoy the panoramic views from the top of the Prudential Centre, stroll around the leafy colleges at Cambridge and Harvard. Use the Old Town Trolley sightseeing tour to ease the footwork and get you round the town easily. Refresh yourself with a cool beer in the "Cheers" bar. Day 5. By train from Boston to New York. Board the train from Boston's South Street station for the journey to New York. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening exploring New York from your hotel in the heart of this vibrant city. Overnight: Edison Hotel (Standard) or Warwick Hotel (Superior).

Day 8. By train from New York to Philadelphia. The short train journey to Philadelphia allows you almost two full days to get to know 'the city of brotherly love'. Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are symbols of the founding of the United States. The Academy of Fine Arts and the Rodin Museum are listed amongst the world's finest museums and it is not difficult to see why the city is sometimes called the 'Athens of America'. Shopping in downtown Philadelphia and the nearby - King of Prussia Mall and the Franklin Outlet Mall is excellent and you benefit from the absence of sales tax in Pennsylvania. Day 9. Philadelphia. A free day to explore Philadelphia. Overnight: Crowne Plaza Philadelphia (Standard & Superior).
Day 10. By train from Philadelphia to Washington DC. Washington D.C. is just down the line and as your Amtrak train brings you into the cathedral-like Union Station you realise this is a very special city. The wide avenues, the blinding-white buildings, the quaint brick pavements and gas lamps of leafy Georgetown, the many famous buildings and monuments, the wide Potomac River - all are laid out before you and yours to explore in the next four days. The Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum, the FBI museum, the White House, Capitol Building, Arlington Cemetery, cruises on the Potomac to George Washington's home - Mount Vernon, the galleries, shops and attractions of Washington demand your attention. We include an Old Town Trolley ticket to help you get around this lovely city but you'll also find that the excellent subway system is easy to use and the major sights are very close and walkable. Overnight: Omni Shoreham Hotel (Standard & Superior).
Days, 11, 12, 13 & 14 Washington DC. Four full days to enjoy the nation's capital. Overnight: Omni Shoreham Hotel (Standard & Superior).
Day 15. Depart Washington DC. After checking out of your hotel make your way to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
