For the traveller who wishes to see and experience the best of the west without driving, and for whom the option of an escorted coach tour does not appeal, this 14 night/15 day flexible air tour includes many of the major highlights and allows plenty of time to add a wide range of optional sightseeing excursions.

This holiday is based on Wednesday departures from the UK, however we can provide prices for other departure dates on request.  We can also adapt the itinerary to suit your personal tastes and requirements, you can add or reduce the number of nights in each location, we can add excursions, include a few nights in Hollywood and much more, just let us know what you would like to do.  Click on the links below to view the sightseeing and excursion opportunities in San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Day 1. Arrive San Francisco.
Upon arrival at San Francisco's International airport, make your way to your city centre hotel.  Overnight: Holiday Inn Golden Gateway (Standard) or Best Western Tuscan Inn Fisherman's Wharf (Superior)

Days 2, 3 & 4, San Francisco.
Ample time to enjoy the sights and attractions of San Francisco.  By choosing a city centre hotel you will find getting around very easy using a combination of the Bay Area Rapid Transit System, walking and the famous cable cars. We can offer a wide choice of optional excursions with Gray Line and California Parlor Car Tours. For example take a day, or overnight trip to Yosemite National Park, Monterey, the Napa Valley or Lake Tahoe. If you are taking an overnight, or two night excursion, we will make an allowance in your holiday cost for the unused accommodation in San Francisco.  See our Sightseeing California options. Day 5. Fly San Francisco to Las Vegas.
Make your way to San Francisco International airport and check in for your US Airways non-stop flight to Las Vegas. After checking in to your hotel relax and enjoy the your hotel, or take the trolley along Las Vegas Boulevard - The Strip, and see the many famous landmarks and incredible hotels. Book a show and enjoy one of the great bargains of Las Vegas.  Overnight: Excalibur Hotel & Casino (Standard) or Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino (Superior). 

Days 6, 7, 8 & 9 Las Vegas.
There are several optional excursions we can offer from Las Vegas including a visit to the mighty Hoover Dam, rafting on the Colorado River (float trip - not white-water!), flights to Monument Valley, jeep tours to Zion National Park. We can arrange optional overnight or day sightseeing excursions by air, or coach, to the Grand Canyon. If you are taking an overnight excursion to the Grand Canyon we will make an allowance in the holiday cost for the unused accommodation in Las Vegas. Day 10. Fly Las Vegas to San Diego.
Make your way to Las Vegas airport and check in for your US Airways flight to San Diego for the final stage of your holiday.  Overnight: Holiday Inn San Diego Downtown  (Standard) or Westin Gaslamp Quarter  (Superior).

Days 11, 12, 13 & 14.
Four days in this lovely city are barely enough to allow you time to explore its many attractions. The world-famous San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, Balboa Park, the beaches, Old Town and the Gas Lamp district are all within an easy trolley or taxi ride, and Gray Line Tours offer a full range of city and local excursions. Take a day trip to Tijuana just across the border in Mexico; enjoy a cruise of San Diego harbour, home of America's Pacific fleet. Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are only a couple of hours drive north in Anaheim and Gray Line offer full-day excursions to both parks.  Overnight: Holiday Inn San Diego Downtown (Standard) or Westin Gaslamp Quarter (Superior)

Day 15. Depart San Diego.
On your final day depart from San Diego for the overnight flight to the U.K.

Please note: This is very much a suggested itinerary. If you would like to vary the number of nights, the locations, hotels, add car rental, or spend some time in Los Angeles, we will be pleased to offer advice and a price quotation.

Airport-hotel transfers are NOT included. We recommend using taxi or airport shuttle service from the airports to/from the hotels; estimated prices are available on request. All hotels, internal flights and excursions are subject to availability at the time of booking.
