Abaco Beach Resort
In the Bahamas Out Islands, the attitude is magical: laid back, casual, come as you are. Call it what you will, attitude is what draws people back to this idyllic tropical chain of islands. The very essence of the Out Islands is captured at a very special place called the Abaco Beach Resort.
The resort is situated close to Marsh Harbour airport (approx. 10 minutes by taxi) and occupies a prime position on 56 acres overlooking the Sea of Abaco. The beachfront is a real life picture postcard - a curve of powder-white sand overlooking the azure blue waters. A green lawn scattered with coconut palms climbs gently to the tropical pink resort buildings and sparkling fresh-water pools.

The Ocean front rooms are well decorated and furnished with either one kingsize or two queensize beds, colour satellite TV, telephone, mini refrigerator, wet bar, air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee maker, in-room safe and private balcony or patio.
One bedroom suites and two bedroom/2 bathroom cottages offer fully equipped kitchens and private patios. All rooms have tiled floors, white-washed furniture and designer-selected fabrics.
Currently, the hotel has 72 rooms, 4 one-bedroom suites and 6 two-bedroom cottages - all have ocean views!
There are two fresh-water swimming pools, one with a swim-up bar. A beautiful private beach, gift shop and boutique, barbecue grills, hammocks, 2 tennis courts (free), Maui Dive Shop, and a guest laundry complete the facilities. There is also entertainment six nights a week in the pool area. The Angler's Restaurant overlooking the marina and the Sea of Abaco provides a Bahamian atmosphere accentuating the fine, yet casual dining with an outstanding menu that includes Mango-chilli lobster, guava glazed lamb chops and other speciality dishes.
Among the many activities available to guests are diving, deep sea fishing, snorkelling, playing tennis on the two night-lighted Omni-courts, volleyball and lying on the beach. Watching the comings and goings in the 190-slip marina where super yachts of up to 180-feet berth, is another major activity. Complimentary watersports include water trampoline, kayaks, windsurfers and small sailboats. Snorkelling gear, bikes, motor scooters and car rentals available nearby.
Guests can easily tour nearby Marsh Harbour which has a variety of small restaurants and shops, a fitness centre and a public ferry to neighbouring Out Islands such as Hope Town, Man-O-War Cay and other tropical destinations.
Few resorts offer the range of activities, amenities, location and high standard of accommodations as the Abaco Beach Resort, and for guests who desire the combination of resort hotel and Out Island paradise, this is the ideal choice of destination.
