ABACO INN - "BAREFOOT ELEGANCE"

A frequent shuttle operates to Hope Town, so if you want to check out the restaurants and shops of the village you can either use the shuttle, walk or borrow a bike from the Inn. For 20 miles north and south there are scores of beautiful uninhabited islands just waiting to be explored, rent a boat and discover your very own island paradise!
Rooms at the Inn are basic, but clean and they have all you need with a double bed, private bathroom WC, air conditioning, ceiling fan and a private patio. Most of the cottages are well hidden amongst the sea grape trees and tropical foliage of the gardens, and all are just steps away from the beaches.
Relax with a tropical cocktail at the Inn's Clubhouse Lounge before dinner and choose between the cosy indoor atmosphere of the restaurant or al fresco dining on the deck overlooking the ocean. Soak up the sun by the salt-water swimming pool; enjoy a refreshing Bahamian beer or 'Bahama Mama' rum cocktail from the poolside bar. Let the tropical breeze rock you to sleep in one of the many hammocks, or take a walk along the miles of sandy beaches, watch to boating world go by at the small marina, borrow a bike or snorkelling gear from the hotel and enjoy the island and its wonderful waters.
