The Outrigger Aina Nalu Resort is one of Lahaina’s most popular hotels, set in 9 acres of gardens filled with tropical fruits and exotic flowers. It provides excellent value for money and a great location right in the heart of the old whaling port of Lahaina, which was once Hawaii’s capital.
The 276 guest rooms afford an option of kitchenette as well as standard bedroom. Each room has one double or two single beds, private bath, shower and wc, air conditioning, ceiling fan, fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, (nominal fee), telephone, radio and colour cable TV with ‘pay for play’ video games. Kitchenettes, which are available for a supplement, feature stovetop/oven, fridge, cookware and tableware – a microwave can be provided on request.
Although the Outrigger Aina Nalu Resort has no restaurant of its own, there are numerous dining spots within an easy stroll of the hotel. The property also has its own barbecue and picnic areas, and with the climate ideal for such outdoor pastimes, this provides a great alternative to eating ‘under cover’. The town of Lahaina also has many bars, lounges and nightspots and the hotel’s central location means you are within walking distance of much of the town’s lively venues.
The property has its own swimming pool, whilst the nearest stretch of sandy beach is just five minutes’ drive away. Even closer at hand are the colourful harbour, galleries depicting the history of this fascinating town and a shuttle service which will transport you to the nearby resort of Ka’anapali Beach, with its magnificent shoreline and dramatic, rolling waves.
