This circa 1800's Historic Register New England Farmhouse perched at 2000 feet amid 120 acres overlooks the tiny hamlet of Shrewsbury and enjoys spectacular panoramic views of the rolling tapestry of the Green Mountains.
The Inn has been totally renovated to high standards by suberb artisans. The classic country style and warm decor create a blend of elegant comfort and charm. In spring or summer, you might meander about our vegetable, herb and flower gardenss savouring the fresh aromas. Our special foliage spectacle with its breathtaking colours beckons you in autumn. In winter Crisanver House glows from within amidst a winter wonderland.
Crisanver House is a totally non-smoking Inn,
with six guestrooms and three suites. Each is named after a mountain peak viewed from the Inn's splendid panoramic scene and is appointed in an individual charming country elegance with queen or twin beds with private bath. Special touches include bathrobes, daily newspapers, a selection of books, CD's, fresh coffee etc.,
Our menu changes daily, but you can be assuered of the freshest most health giving ingredients. The local farmer's market provides a harvest for the chef's savory specialities such as gourmet country breakfasts, fresh baked biscotti, or a fabulous Berry Cobbler. Dinner service features candlelight, Wedgewood china, crystal, linens and fresh flowers.
