The Manor On Golden Pond
New Hampshire Lakes Region
It was the sheer romantic beauty of its mountain and lake side setting that
inspired the building of The Manor On Golden Pond. And while the view still
inspires, so does the hotel's cuisine and leisure facilities. The romantic story behind this resort began in 1903, when a wealthy Englishman fell in love with the mountain and lake side setting and build the Manor for his bride. In many senses, the idyll continues, inspiring the Oscar-winning Hepburn and Fonda film 'On Golden Pond'. Enjoy tea and dreamy end-of-day reveries in the library or alternatively retreat to the excellent restaurant. The cuisine is the finest in the region, complemented by a celebrated cellar. However, despite the excellent spa, golf, skiing, lawn games and water sports, perhaps the best way to enjoy The Manor On Golden Pond is fireside after dinner, with a large Port and entertaining company.
The 'Van Horn' Dining room is a AAA four diamond fine dining restaurant featuring New American Cuisine with an abundance of local products from land and sea. Menu features both A la carte and nightly chef's tasting menu as an option offering chef's own seven-course delights. The A la Carte menu changes frequently with selections for all dietary preferences.
M Bistro: Features Organic French Bistro cuisine with an abundance of local organic products
served in a casual dining atmosphere.
The Manor is located in the New Hampshire Lakes Region on Squam Lake approx. 100 miles from Boston International Airport (2 hours by car).
