Days 1 & 2. Greater Boston, MA The "Athens of America" is yours to discover: explore the
Freedom Trail, ride the Swanboats, shop at Quincy Market, take a whale watch cruise. Museums, shops, art galleries complete your visit. Visit our Welcome Meeting for sightseeing and attractions at special rates. 2 nights Boston. Overnight: Doubletree Downtown, Boston.
Day 3. To Mid Coast Maine (107 miles) Travel along the coast into Maine. (Stop in Kittery for outstanding factory outlet shopping!) Visit Kennebunk and Kennebunkport and continue to Portland, an historic city with a charming restored waterfront. Overnight: Eastland Park Hotel.
Day 4. To White Mountains (107 miles) Journey through the Maine Lakes Region. Stop at North Conway for fabulous factory outlet stores or travel the Conway Scenic Railroad. The Mt. Washington Toll Road takes you to the summit of one of the east's highest mountains. Overnight: Eagle Mountain House.

Day 5. To Lake Champlain Area, VT (110 miles)
If you spent the night in Jackson or North Conway, travel the Kancamagus Highway to Lincoln. Continue to Franconia Notch to see the "Old Man of the Mountain," a natural rock formation. In Vermont, treat yourself to a tour of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory before heading to Burlington, perched on the banks of Lake Champlain.
Overnight: University Inn & Suites.
Day 6. To Green Mountains, VT (83 miles) Visit Shelburne Museum's collections of Americana, gardens and the side-wheeler, SS Ticonderoga. Continue south along the edge of the Green Mountains. Head for Woodstock, a quintessential New England village with traditional shops and covered bridge. Then, travel back into the heart of the Green Mountains.
Overnight: Holiday Inn Rutland.
Day7. To Connecticut River Valley (174 miles) En route to Massachusetts, visit Rutland or lovely Manchester Village. In the Berkshire Hills, visit the Francine Clarke Art Institute or the Hancock Shaker Village, a restored 19th century settlement. Continue to Lenox, summer home of the Boston Symphony and Stockbridge, where The Norman Rockwell Museum houses many of his works. Overnight: Sturbridge Host Hotel.
Day 8. To Newport, RI (127 miles) Visit Old Sturbridge Village, a living 19th century museum, before heading to Newport, summer resort to America's first millionaires. Tour Ten Mile Drive, with its extravagant summer mansions; explore the restored waterfront's shops and restaurants. Overnight: Hotel Viking.
Days 9 & 10. To Cape Cod (75 miles) Travel to Cape Cod, with its white sandy beaches and abundance of attractions. Plan a whale watch cruise, visit the historic village of Chatham or colorful, artistic Provincetown, or take a day trip to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. Overnight: Sheraton Four Points, Hyannis.
Day 11. To Boston, MA (75 miles) En route to Logan Airport, visit Sandwich, the Cape's oldest town, or Plymouth, where Plimoth Plantation, depicts life in 1627.
