We would like to thank you for arranging our holiday " Extended Trails West " It was brilliant, everything worked to plan. The personalised book was a very nice touch and of course very useful, and thanks for the maps.
The car we rented a Chevy Tahoe was ideal.
We like the Best Western hotels. Every hotel is different but they are all up to a high standard.
Denver worked well and was convenient for 16 Street
Lusk,Best Western Pioneer, To be able to walk across to the chuck wagon in a morning and enjoy freshly made omelette was super.
We loved Hill City & Deadwood, and the highlight of our holiday was The Crazy Horse Memorial.
The Best Western Clock Tower Inn at Billings was a big surprise, it is in the middle of town but the swimming pool with all the flowers around , was beautiful.
Best Western Sunset Motor Inn at Cody was excellent.
Grant Village was described as basic but it was clean comfortable with everything we needed and the restaurant was one of the best.
Despite the road works The Painted Buffalo at Jackson was also very good.
The only Hotel we would have changed is the Hampton Inn & Suites at Buffalo. the Hotel itself was 5 star, but we felt it was more suited to business people not holiday makers as there was a seminar on at the time and also they had a lot of guests who were there for a wedding. The good side was we enjoyed our meal at the Winchester Restaurant down the road. After leaving Buffalo we drove through Sheridan which looked a more interesting town and it also had a Best Western
The Hampton Inn , Rock Springs was very friendly and comfortable. Rock Springs was amazing it is a town in the middle of nowhere. It is difficult to understand how people live miles from anywhere. Having said that the Hotel was full, it is easy to see why the town is there.
Alpine Trail Ridge Inn was excellent again, and Estes Park is a very beautiful town.
Overall we have no complaints not even about the weather, we had a few thunder storms but they come and go so quickly they are no problem.
We have been watching the floods on TV this week and it is hard to believe we were driving through Boulder in Colorado only ten days ago
